Descripción :	The investigation is related with the process of the professor’s initial formation in the context of the educational unit, starting from the inadequacies that are presented in the pedagogic practice. In the investigation a study of the different definitions is presented given by several authors on the initial formation of the educational one that facilitates to reveal the aspects in that you/they  coincide and they differentiate the approaches of the different authors. The obtained information of the used investigative methods, they facilitated to offer valuations and results on the process in the context. La investigación que recoge este artículo está relacionada con el proceso de formación inicial del profesor en el contexto de la unidad docente, a partir de las insuficiencias que acontecen en la práctica pedagógica. Se presenta un estudio de las diferentes definiciones dadas por varios autores sobre la formación inicial del docente, que posibilita revelar los aspectos en que coinciden y diferencian los criterios de los diferentes autores. La información obtenida de los métodos investigativos utilizados, posibilitaron ofrecer valoraciones y resultados sobre el proceso en el contexto.
