| dc.description | The purpose of this study is to analyze the axiological elements through a look at university social responsibility considering that HEIs should be understood as an organization with the same implications as any other; For this reason, their criteria and actions around the issue of social responsibility today take on equal force within institutional reflection, the role of Universities in these initiatives would be aimed at the integration in the educational curriculum of the teaching of ethics for the development and promotion of extension programs and policies that make the university a place for the formation of socially responsible professionals and ethical leaders of their community. Universities have as their mission the generation and dissemination of knowledge in order to fulfill the social function entrusted to them. In view of this, higher education institutions are required to initiate a process of institutional change to be in tune with the changes that have originated this new era. RSU actions must be aimed at achieving upright, ethical and honest citizens who conclude their professional career as knowledge that validates the incumbencies for which their degrees will enable them to be people committed to the society of which they are part and will overturn the caula their knowledge to improve their quality of life, trying to solve the problems that this society faces. | en-US |
| dc.description | El presente estudio tiene como propósito analizar los elementos axiológicos mediante una mirada de la responsabilidad social universitaria considerando que las IES debe entenderse como una organización con las mismas implicaciones que cualquier otra; por esto, sus criterios y actuaciones en torno al tema de responsabilidad social toman hoy en día igual fuerza dentro de la reflexión institucional, el rol de las Universidades en estas iniciativas estaría encaminado a la integración en el currículo educativo de la enseñanza de la ética para el desarrollo y al impulso de programas de extensión y políticas que hagan de la universidad un lugar de formación de profesionales socialmente responsables y líderes éticos de su comunidad. Las universidades tienen como misión la generación y difusión de conocimientos para de esa manera poder cumplir la función social que se les ha encomendado. En atención a ello se requiere que las instituciones de educación superior inicien un proceso de cambio institucional para estar en sintonía con los cambios que han originado esta nueva época. Las acciones de la RSU deben estar orientadas a lograr ciudadanos íntegros, éticos y honestos que concluyan su carrera profesional como conocimientos que validen las incumbencias para los cuales sus títulos lo habilitarán para ser personas comprometidas con la sociedad de la que forma parte y a la caula volcarán sus conocimientos para mejorar su calidad de vida, tratando de solucionar los problemas que esta sociedad afronta. | es-ES |
