| dc.description | Interculturality and decoloniality currently constitute two proposals in the fields of the Latin American intelligentsia that, from their criticisms of globalization and neoliberalism, seek to be alternatives to the hegemonic discourse of the West and serve as a theoretical foundation for ethno-educational projects. This essay highlights the imprint, over long centuries, of continuous processes of westernization of the Latin American peoples given through imported educational systems. In addition, it analyzes the contribution that, from both perspectives, contributes to making the cultural diversity of our America visible and to the emergence of ethno-educational proposals. The contributions of both perspectives in the construction of a new world are alternatives that seek to highlight diversity and respect for diversity, understanding that the ability to create possible worlds occurs in every culture capable of recognizing itself as another. | en-US |
| dc.description | Interculturalidad y decolonialidad constituyen en la actualidad dos propuestas en los ámbitos de la intelectualidad latinoamericana que desde sus críticas a la globalización y al neoliberalismo procuran ser alternativas al discurso hegemónico de occidente y sirven de fundamento teóricos a los proyectos etnoeducativos. El presente ensayo destaca la impronta, durante largos siglos, de continuos procesos de occidentalización de los pueblos latinoamericanos dados a través de los sistemas educativos importados. Además, analiza la contribución que, desde ambas perspectivas, contribuyen a visibilizar la diversidad cultural de nuestra América y a la emergencia de propuestas etnoeducativas. Los aportes de ambas perspectivas en la construcción de un mundo nuevo, son alternativas que procuran resaltar la diversidad y el respeto a lo diverso, entendiendo que la capacidad de crear mundos posibles se da en toda cultura capaz de reconocerse como otra. | es-ES |
