dc.description	The current reality in our America is marked by the emergence of social movements that are mostly characterized by questioning the economic, political and social foundations of capitalist society. Their practices are an expression of the forging of a new world where life is more than capital. They are in turn an expression of a new education that has found in the streets the propitious setting for the resurgence of a liberating pedagogy. The present essay aims to link the transformative practice of social movements with the educational model proposed by Paulo Freire, highlighting the ethical imperatives that inspired his work.	en-US
dc.description	La realidad actual en nuestra América está signada por la emergencia de movimientos sociales que en su mayoría se caracterizan por cuestionar los fundamentos económicos, políticos y sociales de la sociedad capitalista. Sus prácticas son expresión de la forja de un nuevo mundo donde la vida sea más que el capital. Son expresión a su vez de una nueva educación que ha encontrado en las calles el escenario propicio para el resurgimiento de una pedagogía liberadora. El presente ensayo tiene por objetivo enlazar la práctica transformadora de los movimientos sociales con el modelo educativo propuesto por Freire, destacando los imperativos éticos que inspiraron su obra.	es-ES
