This article presents a project conducted with students of a master’s degree in Primary Education. A visual diary was designed to cultivate structured thinking through images and children’s creativity. In this project, the students created teaching materials for the Practicum subject, a practical teaching internship taken in schools. The focus of this initiative was to design a visual diary to facilitate second language learning (English), while also working through a multidisciplinary approach and promoting visual and textual language and enriched education from an early age. Furthermore, the project involved postgraduate Fine Art students who designed educational cards for preschool children. The configuration of images and texts is related to the imaginary world of children and includes synthesised shapes and interrelated text that form part of their visual culture. In addition, this project explores synthesising information through other visual media, such as symbols and icons.
Este artículo expone una experiencia con estudiantes del Grado de Maestro de Educación Primaria. Se diseñó un diario visual para cultivar el pensamiento estructurado a través de las imágenes y la creatividad de los niños. El Proyecto fue material didáctico que el alumnado creó para la asignatura del Practicum, en la que realizan una experiencia en centros educativos. De este ítem, surge esta iniciativa sobre el diseño de un diario visual para facilitar el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua: el inglés, trabajar desde áreas transdiciplinarias y fomentar desde edades tempranas un lenguaje visual, textual y enseñanza enriquecida. Además, se han diseñado tarjetas educativas para infantil por estudiantes de posgrado de Bellas Artes. La configuración de imágenes y textos son del imaginario de los niños, con formas sintetizadas y escritura entrelazada que conforman parte de su cultura visual. Existe una labor de síntesis de información a través de otros medios visuales como símbolos o iconos.
