Aprimeira seção traz exemplos de violência contra mulheres a partir de costumes culturais. No segundo momento, coloca-se em debate o relativismo cultural e os direitos humanos universais. Na terceira seção, é realizada uma intersecção entrecultura, gênero e poder.
