This article examines the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in language teaching . Through an electronic survey, the opinions of fif ty ex - students of the B.A. in the Teaching of English at the University of Costa Rica were analyzed. The results show that information and communication technologies play an essential role in language learning to develop the macro linguistic skills. Based on these results, it can be concluded that, despite their importance, ICTs are not being fully incorporated in the major.
