dc.description	This work derives from the initiative of a couple of teachers,concerned about the social realities that involve their students and by the teaching, a bit out of context, which takes place in the educational institutions where they work.The paper shows a possible alternative to the problematic situations studied, so that, using existing material at a called “cátedra municipal” (CityHall class); where television programs are produced for the local channel.During this televised classes several aspects of the district are studied, and reflections are made onsocial problems that affect them. Itmust be recognized that theprograms are developed with the active participation of students and they are the ones who do the preliminary investigation and the presentation of each program.	en-US
dc.description	El presente trabajo nace de la iniciativa de un par de maestros inquietos por las realidades sociales que envuelven a sus estudiantes y por la enseñanza un poco descontextualizada que se lleva a cabo en las instituciones educativas donde laboran. En él, se muestra una alternativa didáctica para lograr una enseñanza activa y pertinente de las ciencias sociales, mediada por la utilización de un material existente llamado Cátedra Municipal, a partir del cual se elaboran programas de televisión para el canal local, en los cuales se estudian aspectos relevantes del municipio y se reflexiona sobre las problemáticas sociales que lo aquejan. Es de resaltar que los programas son elaborados con la participación activa de los estudiantes y son ellos mismos quienes hacen la investigación previa y la presentación de cada programa.	es-ES
