dc.descriptionThis article investigates the narrative “The red cloth”, published in 1978 by Roniwalter Jatoba. The research emphasis is on the narrator’s process of remembering. He review 25 years of his life, a period of time that begins in 1952 and ends in 1976. Through the process of remembering, which is presented in the form of notes for each of the years, the reader comes in contact with the experience of the narrator, a migrant who became worker in the city of São Paulo. The social relations of the narrator’s family, that it is the great reference group in the process of remembering, and the values , desires and subjectivity of some of its members were analyzed. I argue that this narrative can be understood as a literature of testimony. I used concepts from the social sciences, psychology, history and literary theory to interpret the diversity of themes that the narrative raises.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artigo investiga a narrativa “O pano vermelho”, publicada no ano de 1978 por Roniwalter Jatobá. A ênfase da investigação está no processo de rememoração do narrador, que revê 25 anos de sua vida, período de tempo que se inicia em 1952 e termina em 1976. Através do processo de rememoração, que é apresentado na forma de notas referentes a cada um dos anos, o leitor toma contato com a experiência do narrador, um migrante que tornou-se operário na cidade de São Paulo. As relações sociais da família do narrador, que é o grande grupo de referência no processo de rememoração, e também os valores, anseios e subjetividade de alguns de seus membros foram analisadas. Defendo que essa narrativa pode ser entendida como literatura de testemunho. Utilizei conceitos das ciências sociais, psicologia, história e teoria literária para interpretar a diversidade de temas que a narrativa levanta.pt-BR
