dc.descriptionAfter the analysis of the relations that Mallarmé establishes between the newspaper and the book, political, social and poetic writing, we can reconstruct the entire universe, social and historical, where this poetry takes place. In this historical context, we intend to distinct the relation that Mallarmé establishes between literature and society, in relation with the French critical texts on this subject, such as the works of Bourdieu. dc.descriptionNosso objetivo neste texto é retraçar, a partir das relações e distinções que Mallarmé estabelece entre o livro e o jornal, o que seria, segundo o autor, uma escrita literária e seu contraponto, uma escrita social e política. Para isso, efetuamos a leitura do texto “Quant au livre” de Divagations a partir do qual poderemos explorar as ideias de Mallarmé sobre a relação entre literatura e política. Pretendemos ler este texto a partir do contexto histórico e social do fi m do século XIX no qual ele se insere, levando em consideração também as teorias críticas francesas que discutem, neste período, a relação entre literatura e política, no caso, o pensamento de Pierre Bourdieu.
