Descripción :	This article begins with the presentation of Niklas Luhmann and how he started to be interested in sociology, it also points out important aspects of his theory such as the interdisciplinarity and the complexity. Then it tries to present some of the important points of the theory of the systems ,such as the epistemological obstacles, the systems types and characteristics, and the meaning of irritation and communication in Luhmann. Finally some of the concepts previously seen are used in the political system to try to understand their relation with society. Este artigo inicia com a apresentação de Niklas Luhmann, de que forma começou a interessar-se pela sociologia, além de apontar traços marcantes em sua teoria como a interdisciplinaridade e a complexidade. Em seguida, é feita uma abordagem da teoria dos sistemas em alguns pontos importantes, como os obstáculos epistemológicos, os tipos de sistemas, as características dos sistemas, e o significado de irritação e comunicação para Luhmann. Para concluir, alguns dos conceitos vistos anteriormente são usados no sistema político para tentar compreender a sua relação com a sociedade.
