Título :	The specificities of amazon as an alternative to innovations of the capitalist agriculture As especificidades amazônicas como alternativa às inovações capitalistas sobre a agricultura

Descripción :	This essay aims to reflect on some issues involving the alternatives built on overcoming the limitations that characterized the pursuit of obtaining food for humanity , especially by capitalist society , and how the Amazon falls within that context. Therefore, this work is divided into five parts: a) theories of carrying capacity (Malthus and Ester Boserup) ; b ) appropriationism and substitutionism as movements of industrial capital on agriculture ; c ) social organization as a condition in the production and agrarian relations ; d ) the pernicious results of capitalist innovations on agriculture ; e) the Amazon facing new dilemmas of agricultural production . This last section describes the advancing frontier of the Amazon and the consequences inherent in that process in the rural landscape of the region , marked by a logical interface between country and city . It is concluded that the practices of the Amazon peasantry can be understood as an alternative to the procedures described in the article on the impasses of agricultural production. Este artigo tem por objetivo refletir sobre algumas questões que envolveram as alternativas construídas na superação das limitações que caracterizaram a busca da obtenção de alimento pela humanidade, especialmente pela sociedade capitalista, e de que forma a Amazônia se insere nesse contexto. Para tanto, este trabalho divide-se em cinco partes: a) teorias sobre a capacidade de suporte (Malthus e Ester Boserup); b) apropriacionismo e substitucionismo como movimentos do capital industrial sobre a agricultura; c) organização social como condicionante na produção e relações agrárias; d) os resultados perversos das inovações capitalistas sobre a agricultura; e) a Amazônia diante dos novos impasses da produção agrícola. Esta última seção descreve o avanço da fronteira sobre a Amazônia e os desdobramentos inerentes a esse processo no cenário rural da região, marcada por uma lógica de interface entre campo e cidade. Conclui-se que as práticas do campesinato amazônico podem ser entendidas como uma alternativa aos processos descritos no artigo, diante dos impasses da produção agrícola.
