Descripción :	At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th in Colombia there is a stately society, which, being a minority, governs the nation through different strategies. Such is portrayed by modernist writers and by the between-centuries literature that he represented, legitimized, although he also criticized this minority, giving an account of their training, imagination, sensitivity and language. The general objective of this article is to outline a historical framework of that society between centuries, which serves as a contextualization point to talk about it. Here some constitutive elements of the Colombian manor society of the early twentieth century are identified, such as space, the figure of the poet, the family, ideology, transcendental elements in the construction of the nation. Next, an approach is made to the elements that allowed literary creation in Latin America and Colombia in the midst of this context. Para finales del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX en Colombia existe una sociedad señorial, que, siendo minoría, gobierna la nación por medio de diferentes estrategias. Tal es retratada por los escritores modernistas y por la literatura de entre siglos que representó, legitimó, aunque también criticó a esta minoría, dando cuenta de su formación, imaginario, sensibilidad y lenguaje. Este artículo tiene como objetivo general perfilar un marco histórico de aquella sociedad del entre-siglos, que sirve como punto de contextualización para hablar de ella. Aquí se identifican algunos elementos constitutivos de la sociedad señorial colombiana de principios de siglo XX como el espacio, la figura del poeta, la familia, la ideología, elementos transcendentales en la construcción de la nación. En seguida, se hace un acercamiento a los elementos que permitieron la creación literaria en América Latina y Colombia en medio de este contexto.
