dc.descriptionWith this article we want to show the deep conceptual and philosophical innervation that is established in the sixteenth century between literature and painting, between image and word. The Horatian motto ut pictura poesis constantly returns in the reflection of the various writers who, imbued with figurative art, in a fruitfully creative and artistically stimulating age, often justify their work by resorting to confrontation with the painter and with painting. Of course, this comparison between painted images and poetic language is also at the basis of the Renaissance philosophical culture which makes of Plato, of his dialogues, a fundamental and original moment of reflection.en-US
dc.descriptionCon questo articolo si vuole mostrare la profonda innervazione anche concettuale e filosofica che si stabilisce nel Cinquecento tra letteratura e pittura, tra immagine e parola. Il motto oraziano dell’ut pictura poesis torna constantemente nella riflessione dei vari scrittori che imbevuti di arte figurativa, in un’età fecondamente creativa e artisticamente stimolante, giustificano spesso il proprio operato ricorrendo al confronto con il pittore e con la pittura. Naturalmente questo confronto tra immagini dipinte e linguaggio poetico è anche alla base della cultura filosofica rinascimentale che fa del recupero di Platone, della riscoperta dei suoi dialoghi, un momento di riflessione fondamentale e originale.it-IT
