Descripción :	This article aims to analyse the novel Wenn Ali die Glocken läuten hört, written by Güney Dal, an important representative of ‘migration literature’ within the national literary field of German-language literature. In focuses on three different modalities of voice production within the discourses which form the novel: the misunderstood voice, the critical voice and the dominant voice. The investigation of the misunderstood voice deals with the immigrant’s difficulties to understand the messages he or she is confronted with in the new cultural context. The examination of the critical voice discusses the immigrant’s thoughts about the different cultural traditions and the foreigner’s as well as the native’s position within the new social context. The analysis of the dominant voice, at last, shows how the native sees the immigrant. In this sense, Dal’s voice as an author who chooses to write in Turkish about aspects of German society also articulates a voice and inserts it in a bigger context, contributing for the formation of a more extensive concept of German studies. O presente artigo pretende analisar o romance Wenn Ali die Glocken läuten hört, escrito por Güney Dal, importante representante da “literatura de migração” dentro do campo literário nacional de expressão alemã. O foco de análise deste artigo está centrado em três modalidades da concretização de voz no conjunto de discursos que compõem o texto: a voz incompreendida, a voz crítica e a voz dominante. A investigação da voz incompreendida aborda as dificuldades do imigrante de entender as mensagens com as quais se vê confrontado no novo contexto cultural. O exame da voz crítica discute as reflexões de imigrantes sobre as diferentes tradições culturais e as posições do estrangeiro e do nativo no novo contexto social. A análise da voz dominante, por fim, mostra como o nativo vê o imigrante. Nesse sentido, a voz de Dal como autor que escolhe escrever em turco sobre aspectos da sociedade alemã também constrói sua voz e a insere num contexto maior, contribuindo para a formação de uma concepção mais ampla dos estudos da cultura de expressão alemã.
