Descripción :	This paper discusses some issues concerning the literature of testimony, particularly Primo Levi’s writing. We start from the hypothesis that writing about the experience of the concentration camp and becoming a writer because of that experience seems to have made it likely to be lived, with its gaps and its impossibilities. To clarify the relationship between writing and the experience of the concentration camp in the context of the work of Primo Levi, we employ Jacques Lacan’s concept of extimacy. This concept allows us to infer that the relationship between rational writing and poetic writing is inscribed in the work of Levi, less in a dual relationship of binary and linear opposition than from the perspective of internal exclusion. Primo Levi’s testimony, read in light of the concept of extimacy, may elucidate the differences between the testimony as an experience of victimization and the testimony as an experience of extimacy. Este artigo visa discutir algumas questões relativas à literatura de testemunho. Enfoca em particular, a escrita de Primo Levi. Parte da hipótese de que escrever sobre a experiência do Campo de Concentração e ter se tornado escritor por causa dessa experiência, parece tê-la feito passível de ser vivida, com suas lacunas e seus impossíveis. Para esclarecer as relações entre a escrita e a experiência concentracionária no contexto da obra de Primo Levi, lançamos mão da noção de extimidade, de Jacques Lacan. Tal noção permite inferir que as relações entre escrita racional e escrita poética se inscrevem na obra de Levi, menos em uma relação dual de oposição binária e linear, que sob a perspectiva de uma exclusão interna. O testemunho de Primo Levi, lido à luz da noção de extimidade permite elucidar as diferenças entre o relato de uma experiência de vitimização, de um testemunho enunciado a partir de uma êxtima.
