Descripción :	As dificuldades de interpretação dos poemas homéricos só podem ser vencidas a partir do exame das obras em si. O exame da estrutura da ODISSÈIA evidencia a existência de uma unidade, apesar da extensão do poema e da aparente variação de temas. Tanto a análises da distribuição dos temas como o exame das características narrativas mostram uma significativa centralização na figura de Ulisses, já enunciada pelo próprio poeta no proêmio. The only way to solve the difficulties involved in the interpretation of Homeric poems is to start from the study of the work themselves. The examination of the structure of the ODYSSEY brings forth the existence of a unity, in spite of the extent of the poem and the apparent variation of its themes. Both the analysis of how themes are distributed and the study of narrative characteristics show a significant centralization in the figure of Ulysses; already stated by the poet himself in the poem.
