Descripción :	In this interview with Eduardo Mendieta for Logos in 2004, Jürgen Habermas analyses the international scenario one year after the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq by north-American troops. Habermas defends the legalization of international interventions as a substitute for the moralization of conflicts and the demonization of the opponent in international disputes, which have served as justification for the illegal and aggressive interventions of George Bush’s administration. According to the German philosopher, the jus ad bellum must be replaced by actions aimed at the protection of human rights, where the use of force would be conditioned to adjudications in which all parts involved would receive equal consideration. In order to start such a process, the leadership of the EUA is fundamental. In this regard, it would be necessary to overcome the anti-Americanism now predominant in Europe by means of an alliance between the European opposition and the north-American internal opposition to the unilateral policies of the Bush administration. Nesta entrevista concedida a Eduardo Mendieta para a revista Logos em 2004, Jürgen Habermas analisa o cenário político internacional um ano após a invasão do Afeganistão e Iraque por tropas norte-americanas. Habermas defende a legalização das intervenções internacionais em substituição à moralização de conflitos e a demonização do oponente nas disputas internacionais, que serviram como justificativa para as intervenções agressivas e ilegais da administração de George Bush. Segundo o filósofo alemão, o jus ad bellum deve ser substituído por ações de proteção aos direitos humanos, nas quais o uso da força estaria condicionado a julgamentos nos quais todas as partes envolvidas receberiam igual consideração. Para dar início a tal processo, a liderança dos EUA é fundamental. Assim sendo, seria preciso superar o antiamericanismo que predomina atualmente na Europa por meio de uma aliança entre a oposição européia e a oposição interna norte-americana às políticas unilaterais da administração Bush.
