Descripción :	Undestanding the image as a whole of signification, manifested as a text, in which the material and the operations that the enunciation uses would be situated, the intention of this work is to understand, using the mentioned concept, the hidden sense, revealed on the own enunciated spot. The aim is to identify strategies of composition in the press photography, showing that under the concrete scene lies a way of telling. It's interesting to examine the way the referent is potencialized, making us see, "read", beyond the sense that is shown by the plane of expression. Based on this, the theory created by Jacques Fontanille, based in the greimasian tradition, was used, and it forsees the grasp of the specifics characteristics of the textual manifestation beginning with the different abstraction instances, also divided in levels of depth. Entendendo a imagem como um todo de significação, manifestado sob a forma de texto, no qual estariam situados o material e as operações que a enunciação mobiliza para realizá-lo, a intenção deste artigo é compreender, sob o referente concreto, o sentido latente, revelado no próprio ato enunciativo. O objetivo é identificar estratégias de composição na fotografia de imprensa, mostrando que sob a cena concreta subjaz um modo de contar. Interessa examinar a forma pela qual o referente é potencializado, obrigando-nos a enxergar, a "ler" além do sentido explícito veiculado pelo plano da expressão. Para isso, optou-se pela teoria concebida por Jacques Fontanille, inscrita na tradição greimasiana, que prevê a apreensão das especificidades da manifestação textual a partir de diferentes instâncias de abstração, também divididas em patamares de profundidade.
