dc.descriptionThis article has the aim of reflecting about some definitions that the terms text and speech receive in different research lines. The concepts work isolated or in group; in opposition or in complementarity; hierarquically or in a coordinate way. The analysis of this chart, more than identifying (the distinctions between the two terms – as they modify from a theoretical field to another – we tried to find the widest theoretical orientations that, in language studies, promote the distinctions and the use of both terms. dc.descriptionEste artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre algumas definições que os termos texto e discurso recebem em diferentes linhas de pesquisa. Verifica-se que os conceitos funcionam isoladamente ou em conjunto; em oposição ou em complementaridade; hierarquicamente ou de modo coordenado. Na análise desse quadro, mais do que identificar (as) distinções entre os dois termos – já que elas se modificam de um campo teórico para outro – buscamos encontrar as orientações teóricas mais amplas que, nos estudos sobre a linguagem, promovem as distinções e o emprego dos dois termos.
