| Descripción : | En la ciudad de Córdoba en las primeras décadas del siglo XVII se fundó el convento de San José para monjas carmelitas. En el cenobio se establecían nuevos vínculos, una nueva familia, en la que las monjas se cuidaban y asistían en diferentes situaciones. Sin embargo, algunas de ellas llevaron consigo a sus criadas para que las sirvieran individualmente o a la comunidad. El artículo reconstruye las relaciones que mantenían las religiosas entre sí y, especialmente las que sostenían con sus criadas, esclavas y esclavos. In the city of Córdoba during the early decades of the 17th century, the convent of San José was established to house Carmelite nuns. Within the cloister, new bonds were formed—a new family where the nuns cared for and supported one another in various situations. However, some of them brought their servants with them to serve either individually or for the community. This article reconstructs the relationships among the nuns themselves and, particularly, the connections they maintained with their servants, enslaved individuals, and slaves. |
