Descripción :	Con este trabajo, pretendemos motivar en el lector algunas consideraciones sobre los encuentros y desencuentros que pudieron haber tenido lugar en los distintos segmentos en que el pensamiento y el quehacer del Barón Alexander Von Humboldt, Simón Bolívar y Karl Marx se cruzaron, cuando así sucedió. Frecuentemente, dichos cruces estuvieron teñidos de amargura, malas interpretaciones y severidad. Se trata de tres de las más grandes figuras políticas, científicas y académicas del siglo XIX, y éste, el siglo XX, no sería lo que es en lo que respecta a las cosas buenas que todavía le quedan, sin la impronta generosa y noble que estos tres hombres dejaron sobre él. With this work, we intend to motivate in the reader some considerations about the encounters and disagreements that could have taken place in the different segments in which the thought and work of Baron Alexander Von Humboldt, Simon Bolivar and Karl Marx crossed, when this happened. Frequently, such crosses were tinged with bitterness, misinterpretations and severity. They are three of the greatest political, scientific and academic figures of the nineteenth century, and this, the twentieth century, would not be what it is in terms of the good things that still remain, without the generous and noble imprint that these three men left on it Universidad Nacional, Costa Rica Escuela de Sociología
