| Descripción : | El presente texto constituye un acercamiento al trabajo de uno de los más interesantes directores del teatro mexicano actual, Jorge Arturo Vargas, recorriendo distintos momentos de su carrera desde sus inicios, basados en una visión del teatro del cuerpo influenciada esencialmente por Étienne Decroux, hasta sus más recientes innovaciones entre trabajo escénico y arte instalación en lugares públicos. El teatro de Vargas al frente de la compañía Teatro Línea de Sombra representa una de las visiones más sobresalientes dentro de la escena mexicana actual. This essay is an approach to the work of one of the most interesting directors in the Mexican theatre today, Jorge Arturo Vargas. The text discusses different moments of his career, from his first and early works based on a vision of the body on stage influenced by Étienne Decroux to his latest innovations combining scenic work and art installations in the public space. The theater of Vargas, head of the Teatro Línea de Sombra company, represents one of the most influential visions in today's Mexican scene. |
