Descripción :	Un mar de espejos y el pasado como un ancla, la novela que es tanto causa como resultado de este proyecto creativo y editorial es, a su vez, la herramienta que nos permitió acercarnos al tema del mal. Desde el inicio, el objetivo principal, además del producto impreso, fue aproximarnos a una idea del mal sustentada en una reflexión sobre el “bien y el mal”, valga la redundancia, en el hombre; sin embargo, a partir de esta propuesta, junto a la creación de la novela, se desarrollaron dos elementos fundamentales para el proceso de investigación y de creación. El primer elemento es la relación entre el mal y la memoria, que es evidente en la historia del protagonista de la novela y que, por lo tanto, establece como objetivo interrogativo principal de este proyecto el siguiente cuestionamiento: ¿Por qué hablar del mal desde la perspectiva de un individuo, utilizando la memoria como herramienta para problematizar y opinar sobre el mismo? Es aquí donde el personaje principal de la novela entra en juego. Abel es un sujeto que se encuentra en constante diálogo con su pasado. Desde el principio de la novela vemos que le es imposible no remitirse a las experiencias vividas en su infancia y adolescencia para darle sentido u solución a lo que le ocurre en el presente. Su personalidad y forma de actuar fueron moldeadas por estos eventos pasados que, intrínsecamente, estaban en relación directa con el mal: desde el asesinato de un perro, hasta el abuso sexual sufrido a temprana edad; situaciones y momentos que dejaron cicatrices en su subconsciente y que, podría decirse, nunca dejó ir. Nunca sanaron. Ahora, en su presente, al encontrarse en situaciones en las que debe de cuestionarse así mismo sobre su identidad, se halla en un estado de conmoción u aturdimiento en el que no le es posible reconocer si sus acciones son buenas o malas, o si oscilan entre estas dos nociones y/o conceptos. A lo largo de la novela será posible ver cómo Abel navega en diversas situaciones que podrían considerarse como maliciosas en sí mismas: los avances sexuales de Ángela sin el consentimiento de Abel, la calumnia de un abuso sexual y físico que no cometió hacia una menor, la desconfianza por parte de uno de sus mejores amigos, su primo y tía –hermana de su madre recién fallecida-; la pérdida injusta de su trabajo, el asesinato de su mascota y acompañante, los prejuicios que su condición de judío traen consigo, y el completo rechazo y odio por parte del resto de la sociedad que lo rodea. Estos conducen a un momento en el que tendrá que precisar cuál de estas dos nociones (bien o mal) es más afín a su vida y a la de las pocas personas allegadas a él. El segundo elemento esencial es la relación autor/editor que se profundiza a partir del proceso de creación e investigación del proyecto. Entonces, teniendo en cuenta lo dicho anteriormente, este ensayo no solamente explora la idea sobre el mal que se ha creado a partir de la novela, sino que busca darle una nueva perspectiva a partir de la memoria, así como también se busca exponer por medio de esta investigación, la más primordial relación entre un autor y un editor que da cuenta del proceso creativo para llegar al producto final (novela impresa). A Sea of Mirrors and The Past as an Anchor, the novel that is both the cause and the result of this creative and publishing project is, in turn, the tool that allowed us to approach the subject of evil. From the beginning, the main objective, in addition to the printed product, was to approach an idea of evil based on a reflection on "good and evil", worth the redundancy, in man; however, from this proposal, along with the creation of the novel, two fundamental elements were developed for the process of research and creation. The first element is the relationship between evil and memory, which is evident in the story of the protagonist of the novel and which, therefore, establishes the following question as the main interrogative objective of this project: Why talk about evil from the perspective of an individual, using memory as a tool for problematising and giving opinions about it? This is where the main character of the novel comes into play. Abel is a subject who is in constant dialogue with his past. From the beginning of the novel we see that it is impossible for him not to refer to the experiences lived in his childhood and adolescence to give meaning or solution to what happens to him in the present. His personality and way of acting were shaped by these past events that were intrinsically related to evil: from the murder of a dog, to the sexual abuse he suffered at an early age; situations and moments that left scars in his subconscious and that, it could be said, he never let go. They never healed. Now, in your present, as you find yourself in situations where you must question yourself about your identity, you are in a state of shock or daze where you cannot recognize whether your actions are good or bad, or whether they oscillate between these two notions and/or concepts. Throughout the novel it will be possible to see how Abel navigates in various situations that could be considered as malicious in themselves: Angela's sexual advances without Abel's consent, the slander of a sexual and physical abuse he did not commit against a minor, the distrust of one of his best friends, his cousin and aunt -sister of his recently deceased mother-; the unfair loss of his job, the murder of his pet and companion, the prejudices that his condition as a Jew brings with it, and the complete rejection and hatred of the rest of society around him. These lead to a moment when he will have to specify which of these two notions (good or bad) is more akin to his life and that of the few people close to him. The second essential element is the author/editor relationship, which is deepened through the process of creating and researching the project. Therefore, taking into account what has been said before, this essay not only explores the idea about evil that has been created from the novel, but also seeks to give it a new perspective from memory, as well as to expose through this research, the most primordial relationship between an author and a publisher that gives an account of the creative process to reach the final product (printed novel).
