| Descripción : | La presente investigación desea recuperar el protagonismo y la importancia de una institución de naturaleza eclesiástica que no ha tenido la merecida atención en la historiografía colombiana dentro de una temporalidad decisiva para la historia nacional; hablamos del Cabildo catedralicio de Santafé en el periodo de la independencia. Por lo tanto, este trabajo estudia el desarrollo de esta institución de la Iglesia católica entre los años de 1808 a 1819 en la capital del Virreinato de la Nueva Granada. Cabildo catedral The present investigation wishes to recover the protagonism and importance of an institution of ecclesiastical nature that has not had the deserved attention in the Colombian historiography within a decisive temporality for the national history; we speak of the Cathedral Chapter of Santafé in the period of the independence. Therefore, this work studies the development of this institution of the Catholic Church between 1808 and 1819 in the capital of the Viceroyalty of New Granada.
