Descripción :	La indiscutible relación entre literatura y cine va más allá de la influencia del primero en la narrativa del segundo. En la actualidad hay escritores que trabajan textos literarios y textos fílmicos y las adaptaciones de obras literarias inundan las salas de cine. El estudio de la relación literatura - cine está marcado por las diferencias de sistema semiótico y la percepción de superioridad del primero sobre el segundo. Esto ha llevado a que la participación del escritor del texto literario en el trasvase cinematográfico es un tema que la academia no ha abordado por completo, teniendo en cuenta las pocas teorías que entrelazan las dos áreas y los escasos ejemplos que existen. Guillermo Arriaga, como representante latinoamericano de las dos posiciones, escritor de novelas y guiones, se convierte en un caso digno de estudio a partir del análisis de las obras que han sido llevadas a la pantalla grande y que permiten establecer cómo se relaciona el escritor del texto literario y el director del texto fílmico. The undisputed relationship between literature and cinema goes beyond the influence of the first to the second narrative.
