| Descripción : | Este trabajo rastrea la presentación del fenómeno de la locura y sus conexiones con la memoria y el olvido, en dos novelas de Laura Restrepo: Dulce compañía (1995) y Delirio (2004).
Desde hace varios años ha sido una constante de diferentes autores del pensamiento occidental ofrecer explicaciones dualistas a diferentes fenómenos. Sin embargo, desde finales del siglo XIX esta doctrina se revisa críticamente. Así las cosas, el presente trabajo investigativo se ubica en esta segunda perspectiva. Es su objeto hacer evidente, desde una lectura de las novelas de Restrepo cómo entre cordura y locura, entre memoria y olvido existen fronteras borrosas.
Subyace a la presente investigación (que es una aproximación hermenéutica a las obras mencionadas) hacer visible cómo se refiere la locura, cómo se predica que hay cordura, cómo se enuncia la memoria, cómo se hace patente el olvido.
Cierto sí es que subyace a tal pretensión una hipótesis: las dos novelas hacen vivenciable que ningún ser humano es cuerdo en su total sentido, ni loco en su extraña presencia.
Se propone la idea de tensión y la metáfora de viaje, de exilio, del carácter esponjoso en la naturaleza humana. No se trata de términos excluyentes, se cruzan en cada momento en las novelas. Es un asunto de énfasis para hacer visible una misma realidad: la movilidad permanente de la razón que deviene en locura y el olvido que viene como compañero inseparable de la memoria. The following document tracks the phenomenon of insanity and its connections with memory and forgetfulness in two of Laura Restrepo's novels: Dulce Compañía (1995) and Delirio (2004). It has been several years since western authors have been concerned about offering dual explanations to diverse phenomena; nonetheless, since the last part of the XIX century such a doctrine has been revised critically. In that way, it is a critical study what is shown herein. It is the purpose of this research to make evident, from the very reading of Laura Restrepo's novels, how the boundaries between sanity and insanity, as well as between memory and forgetfulness, are blurry. The following research (which is an hermeneutical approximation to the mentioned works) intends to make visible the references towards insanity, as well as how sanity is preached, how memory is stated, and how forgetfulness is made patent. Nevertheless, there is a leading hypothesis underneath such objective: those two novels make believe that no human being is not mentally sane in a whole; but no human being is insane in the strange presence of insanity. The ideas of tension and the travel metaphore, as well as the concepts of exile, and the porous feature of human nature are proposed. Those are not exclusive terms; au contraire, those overlap through the novels. It is a matter of emphasis to highlight the very same reality: the permanent mobility of the reason in between insanity and forgetfulness; this latter seen as an inseparable partner of memory.
