Descripción :	In this paper, the complex panorama of the cultural and historiographic influences that have impacted Latin America are explored. The paper stresses the dominant French cultural and historiographic line together with complimenting parallel lines that, while not dominant, have still been relevant such as the influence of the Germans, British, Italians or North Americans. The author shows the rupture produced by the cultural revolution of 1968 and its effects on Latin America, relating this to the efforts of establishing new historiographic hegemonies. En ésta ponencia se expone el complejo panorama d elas influencias culturales e historiográficas que han impactado a América Latina. Aquí se resalta la línea dominante de la cultura y la historiografía francesa, junto con todo un abanico de líneas paralelas, no dominantes, pero sí presentes de manera relevante, de influencias alemanas, británicas, italianas o norteamericanas. Se destaca igualmente la ruptura que a partir de la revolución cultural de 1968 se dio en América Latina, relacionada con la pretensión de establecer nuevas hegemonias historiográficas.
