Título :	La estructura social del turismo rural : el caso de la provincia de Guanentá-Santander

Descripción :	Este estudio analiza la relación entre la estructura social conformada por los actores vinculados a la actividad del turismo rural en la provincia de Guanentá- Santander, la gobernanza como propiedad que emerge de la misma y las transformaciones del territorio. El estudio plantea una interpretación del turismo desde un enfoque social y político, interpretación que hasta el momento no se ha considerado para el caso de estudio. Para el desarrollo del estudio se plantearon tres objetivos. El primero permitió caracterizar los patrones de relaciones que dan forma a la estructura social, el segundo identifica y describe las características del sistema de gobernanza inherente a la estructura de relaciones y el ter cero identifica las transformaciones del territorio. Estos objetivos se cumplieron utilizando un enfoque metodológico mixto que incluyó la aplicación de un cuestionario, entrevistas semi-estructuradas con informantes clave, diagramas de ciclo causal (representación de modelo mental) y la revisión de información secundaria. Los resultados sugieren que se está frente a una estructura de relaciones extensa, poco densa, desacoplada, y de carácter policéntrico, condición que permite asumir que la estructura de gobernanza se encuentra en proceso de consolidación. Los resultados igualmente evidencian la relación entre la estructura social descrita, la gobernanza del turismo rural y las transformaciones del territorio. This study analyzes the relationship among three features of a territory in the Santander´s Province of Guanentá, the social structure, formed through the actors connected with the activity of rural tourism, governance, as a property emerging from the social structure, and the changes in the structure of the territory. The study raises an interpretation about rural tourism based on a socio-political approach, an interpretation that so far, has not been considered in this Province. In order to develop the study had been set three objectives. The first allowed to characterize the patterns of relationships that shape the social structure, the second identifies and describes the characteristics of the governance system inherent in the structure of relations and the third identifies the transformations of the territory. These objectives were achieved using a mixed methodological approach that included aquestionnaire, semi-structured interviews with key informants, causal loop diagrams (representing mental model) and the review of secondary information. The results suggest that it is facing a sparse, decoupled, extensive and polycentric character relationships structure, a condition that allows assume that the governance structure is in the process of consolidation. The results also show the relationship between social structure, described the governance of rural tourism and the land-use changes. Magíster en Desarrollo Rural Maestría
