| Descripción : | The historic novel genre is an important source of information for anthropologist. The writer as cultural subject is both an ethnograph and an informant, and provide a fictional topography where can be observed cultural characteristics and significant structures of a society and/or a time. In this Manuel Mejía Vallejo’s book, are imbricated Embera Indians mithyc territoriality and the antioqueñan people one, also are illustrated both imaginaries remarked by antioquian colonization, among the end of xixth century to middle of xxth century. In this way, is fictionalized an important process in Colombian history. El género de la novela histórica constituye una fuente importante de información para el antropólogo. El autor, sujeto cultural, no solo actúa como etnógrafo e informante sino que proporciona una topografía ficcional donde se observan rasgos culturales y estructuras significativas de una sociedad y/o de una época. En esta obra de Manuel Mejía Vallejo se imbrican la territorialidad mítica de los indígenas embera y la de los antioqueños, y se ilustran ambos imaginarios enmarcados en la colonización antioqueña, desde fines del siglo xix a mediados xx. De esta manera, se ficcionaliza un proceso histórico importante en la historia de Colombia. |
