Descripción :	This paper argues that in a highly convulsed world in which war pervades nearly each country, thinking about the peace is compulsory, and yet, insufficient. Throughout peace, beyond peace on the basis of peace, we must additionally think about a twofold problem, namely freedom, and life. Otherwise, even without meaning it, we would all fall, without truly being aware of that, into the traps of institutionalism, and neo-institutionalism. The reasons are provided that support the claim and, at the end, some conclusions are drawn. Este artículo sostiene la tesis que, en un mundo abocado a la guerra en numerosos frentes y formas, y fundamental como es, es sin embargo insuficiente pensar la paz. Debe ser posible pensar con la paz, mas allá de la paz, y por encima de la paz dos cosas: la libertad, y la vida misma. De otro modo, se podría estar haciendo, sin saberlo ni desearlo, una apología indirecta al institucionalismo y al neoinstitucionalismo. Se suministran los argumentos para la tesis enunciada y se extraen algunas conclusiones.
