Descripción :	This paper seeks to respond to some extent to the difficulty faced by the university student when undertaking the study of a literary text. In the field of these investigations, many Ways of understanding literature have been experimented with, such as the sociological, the psychological, the philosophical, the symbolic, the stylistic and others; the scope of these works is hardly made explicit, but the cautious reader is aware of the partial vision they offer of the text, in addition to the fact that it is subject to permanent scrutiny, given that a single or dominant vision is no longer admitted and what prevails now a day is theplurality of readings. However, for this diversity of readings to be considered, it is necessary to explain, at least, the methodology deployed, the sources of support and the theoretical bases that it postulates. In these sense, we have left behind the merely impressionistic critique and also the pretense of offering a literal and scientific vision of the text. So, the space for reading from our own circumstances is open. Este trabajo busca responder en alguna medida a la dificultad que enfrenta el estudiante universitario al emprender el estudio de un texto literario. En el ámbito de estas investigaciones se han experimentado muchas maneras de entender la literatura, como la sociológica, la histórica, la psicológica, la filosófica, la simbólica, la estilística y otras más; los alcances de estas iniciativas casi no se explicitan, pero el lector precavido se percata de la visión parcial que ofrecen del texto, además de que se da cuenta de que ésta está sometida a escrutinio permanente, dado que ya no se admite una visión única o dominante y lo que priva es la pluralidad de lecturas. Sin embargo, para que esta diversidad de lecturas sea de consideración, es necesario explicitar, al menos, la metodología desplegada, las fuentes que se han tenido de apoyo y las bases teóricas que postula el trabajo. En este sentido, se ha dejado atrás la crítica literaria meramente impresionista y también las pretensiones de ofrecer una lectura científica en sentido fuerte. Se abre así el espacio para la lectura desde nuestras propias circunstancias.
