Descripción :	This article aims to the reflection on the implementation of the Rural Section of the ProAgua Program in rural communities of Puebla, Mexico, from the perspective of transparency and accountability. It approaches the perceptions of families in rural areas benefiting from the implementation of the Program, as a result a strong weakness in the program is identified, as well as the need to strengthen accountability and establish relationships of greater trust between the government and communities. Este artículo aporta a la reflexión sobre la implementación del Programa gubernamental ProAgua en comunidades rurales de Puebla en México, desde la perspectiva de la transparencia y la rendición de cuentas. Se acerca a las percepciones de familias beneficiadas con la implementación del Programa. Se identifica una fuerte debilidad en la materia, por lo cual se plantea la necesidad de afianzar la rendición de cuentas y establecer relaciones de mayor confianza entre gobierno y comunidades.
