| Descripción : | The objective of this article is to measure labor precariousness in Central America in a multidimensional way using the Labor Precariousness Scale (epres). It is a cross-sectional descriptive study that uses data collected in the first Central America Survey of Working Conditions and Health (eeccts) in 2011, through a subsample of people who reported being enrolled in Social Security. A high percentage of precarious work was found in Central America. Women with ages between 31 and 50 years have the highest percentage (67,1%) compared to men at the same ages (61,8%). El objetivo del presente artículo es medir la precariedad laboral en Centroamérica de forma multidimensional, utilizando la Escala de Precariedad Laboral (epres). Es un estudio descriptivo transversal que utiliza los datos recolectados en la primera Encuesta Centroamérica de Condiciones de Trabajo y Salud (eccts) del año 2011, a través de una submuestra de personas que reportaron estar afiliadas al Seguro Social. Se encontró un alto porcentaje de precariedad laboral a nivel centroamericano, siendo mayor en las mujeres en edades entre 31 y 50 años (67,1%) respecto a los hombres en las mismas edades (61,8%). |
