Descripción :	The present article is a product of a social-antropological research about the religion knows as santery performed in Catemaco, Veracruz, México in 2008. The principal objective was to explore and to analize the different ways in wich people build their realities the lifestyles, the spaces (domains) and interaction the main symbols and the local traditions, searching for the origin relationship and mixing by especific practices such as witch craft the spiritism, the folk-heale, craft, etc. At last, to discover the use and the ways that the men and women use them inside the region, from the adquisition of transnational images, discourses and ideas that stablish on an imaginary way, building a mexican santery. El presente artículo es resultado de un estudio socio-antropológico sobre la religión conocida como santería, realizado en Catemaco, Veracruz, México en el año 2008. El objetivo central fue explorar y analizar las maneras en las cuales las personas construyen realidades, las formas de vida, los espacios de interacción, los símbolos significantes y las tradiciones locales, escudriñando su procedencia, relación y mezcla con prácticas específicas tales como la brujería, el espiritismo, la curandería, etc., y finalmente, describir los usos y formas que le dan hombres y mujeres de la región, a partir de la apropiación de imágenes, discursos e ideas transnacionales que se establecen en el imaginario, construyendo una santería mexicana.
