Título :	El apego en un grupo de parejas que inician la parentalidad

Descripción :	RESUMENIntroducción. La investigación se fundamenta en la Teoría del Apego, iniciada por John Bowlby, y los estudios realizados desde este enfoque por Hazan y Shaver. Objetivo. Determinar la relación existente entre el estilo de apego desarrollado con el cuidador/la cuidadora principal de la infancia y el apego con el/la cónyuge en un grupo de parejas que inician la parentalidad. Metodología. Se utilizó una metodología cuantitativa de tipo descriptivo-correlacional. La información obtenida fue procesada mediante el Statistical Packet for Social Sciencies (SPSS). La muestra estudiada fue de 86 sujetos que conforman pareja heterosexual, embarazadas de su primer bebé, y que residen en el municipio capitalino de Plaza de la Revolución, Cuba. Resultados. La distribución porcentual del apego de la infancia quedó representada por los estilos preocupado y evitativo, luego por el estilo seguro y por último el temeroso. La distribución del apego conyugal quedó representada por el estilo seguro, luego el temeroso y finalmente los estilos evitativo y preocupado. Se encontraron diferencias significativas de género respecto a los estilos de apego. Los estilos de apego conyugales correlacionaron significativamente con cuatro de las variables que miden la calidad de las relaciones íntimas: Grado de Satisfacción, Grado de Intimidad, Grado de Estabilidad y Comunicar información personal. Conclusiones. Los resultados obtenidos revelan que no existe una correlación estadísticamente significativa entre el apego desarrollado en la infancia y el apego con la pareja actual.ABSTRACT Introduction. The research presented was based on the Theory of Attachment initiated by John Bowlby, and the studies conducted from this approach by Hazan and Shaver. Objective. To determine the relationship between the attachment style developed with the primary caregiver of childhood and the attachment with the spouse in a group of couples that initiate parenting. Methodology. A quantitative methodology of descriptivecorrelational type was used, and the information obtained was processed through the Statistical Packet for Social Sciences (SPSS). The sample studied was of 86 subjects who make heterosexual couples, pregnant with their first baby and residing in the municipality of Plaza de la Revolución, Havana, Cuba. Results. The percentage distribution of childhood attachment was represented by the worried and avoidant styles, then by the safe style and finally by the fearful. The distribution of conjugal attachment was represented by the safe style, then the fearful, and finally the avoidant and worried styles. Significant gender differences were found regarding attachment styles. Conjugal attachment styles correlated significantly with four of the variables that measure the quality of intimate relationships: Degree of Satisfaction, Degree of Privacy, Degree of Stability, and Communicate personal information. Conclusions. The results obtained reveal that there is no statistically significant correlation between the attachment developed in childhood and the attachment to the current partner.
