| Descripción : | This analysis seeks to map the reception in the North American academic field of the work How to Read Donald Duck (1971), by Ariel Dorfman and Armand Mattelart. They are identified in the North American critics: an insistence on the analysis of the figure of the author-creator of Disney comics (a sort of romanticization of the author), the complexity of social mediations in the production-circulation-consumption of Disney products, an obstinacy to underline the ambiguous dimension of the Donald Duck contents that would allow democratic or antimodernizing readings and, lastly, the underestimation of imperialist or propaganda vectors at the heart of Disney productions. Este análisis busca cartografiar la recepción en el campo académico norteamericano de la obra Para leer al Pato Donald (1971), de Ariel Dorfman y de Armand Mattelart. Se identifican en la crítica norteamericana: una insistencia en el análisis de la figuradel autor-creador de las historietas de Disney (suerte de romantización del autor), la complejización de las mediaciones sociales en la producción-circulación-consumo de los productos Disney, una obstinación por subrayar la dimensión ambigua de los contenidos del Pato Donald que permitiría lecturas democráticas o anti modernizadoras y, por último, la subestimación de los vectores imperialistas o de propaganda en el corazón de las producciones Disney. |
