| Descripción : | Since Morocco acquired independence, relations with Spain havebeen suffering the negative impact related to the contented areas andthe consequent rivalry conditions in both countries. Added to suchnegative factors, the stereotypes and preconceptions held in both areasover the past centuries still today prevent their civil societies from comingtogether. Not knowing and not understanding each other is furtherwidened by the extremely negative role played by media and theirvery often reductionist conditioning treatment of the Spain-Moroccorelations. With a few exceptions, the main feature prevailing in suchtreatment by the media in both countries is their inclination to coincidewith the official positions shown in their respective countries andto adopt quite an aggressive, partial and tendencious tone towardsthe counterpart. |
