Descripción :	In Papal Rome, the centers of the Society of Jesus were accumulating since its foundation (1540) an enormous bibliographic and documentary wealth. The complex history lived by the Jesuits for more than three centuries was reflected in their librarian collections, until the annexation of the Papal States, in 1876, to the new unified Italy when they were mostly incorporated into the newly created National Library of Rome, as one of its main founding collections. In this work it is collected the history and operation of the libraries that were formed in the main centers of Rome, Roman College, Professed House, Novitiate and Germanic- Hungarian College, divided into three periods: the first, growth phase, since the inauguration from the Roman College until the dissolution of the Society of Jesus in 1773, the second phase of disintegration and regroupment, from 1773 until the restoration of the Society of Jesus, 1815, and the third, from 1815 until the inauguration of the National Library of Rome in 1876. Throughout the work, in addition, we refer to authors, collections and Spanish libraries. En la Roma papal, los centros de la Compañía de Jesús fueron acumulando desde su fundación (1540) una riqueza bibliográfica y documental enorme. La compleja historia vivida por los jesuitas durante más de tres siglos se vió reflejada en sus colecciones librarías, hasta que, en 1876, tras la anexión de los Estados pontificios a la nueva Italia unificada, se incorporaron mayoritariamente a la recién creada Biblioteca Nacional de Roma, como uno de sus principales colecciones fundacionales. En este trabajo se recoge la historia y funcionamiento de las bibliotecas que se fueron formando en los principales centros de Roma, Colegio Romano, Casa Profesa, Noviciado y Colegio Germánico-Hungárico, dividido en tres periodos: fase de crecimiento, desde la inauguración del Colegio Romano hasta la disolución de la Compañía de Jesús en 1773; fase de desintegración y reagrupamiento, desde 1773 hasta la restauración de la Compañía de Jesús, 1815; y la tercera, desde 1815, hasta la inauguración de la Biblioteca Nacional de Roma, 1876. A lo largo del trabajo salen además a la luz relaciones de estas bibliotecas con personalidades y bibliotecas españolas.
