Descripción :	F. S. P. suggests two possibilities in “The devil of the fiction. An ethnographic short story”. Concerning the formal side, a new way of telling is suggested; while on the content side, the author draws the line between Anthropology and Literature, fiction and reality. Taking this as a starting point, this article analyzes the two levels contained in this “artistory” -as the author himself calls it-. On the one hand, the idea of ethnographic short story implies the creation of a hybrid genre, between essay and fiction; it could even be considered an oxymoron. However, this proposal affects the reading process because the official statute of the text and horizon of reading are substantially changed, and as a result the pact between author and readers must also be altered. On the other hand, this article analyzes the terms, suggested by F. S. P. of the discussion between Anthropology and Literature. To do this, this discourse must be placed in the social conditions of its production. The key to concepts such as literature, fiction or writer that are used by the main characters of this story, are to be found in the position of the author in the anthropological and literary fields. Thanks to this sociological reading of textual discourse, interesting conclusions on the terms of the discussion between Anthropology and Literature can be taken. F. S. P. plantea en “El diablo de la ficción. Un cuento etnográfico” una doble propuesta. En el ámbito formal propone una nueva manera de contar, mientras que en el propio contenido del relato rastrea los límites entre Antropología y Literatura, entre la verdad y la ficción. A partir de aquí, este comentario analiza estos dos niveles de este “articuento” -como lo denomina su autor-. Por un lado, la idea de cuento etnográfico implica un genero híbrido, a medio camino entre el ensayo y la ficción, incluso podríamos considerarlo un oxímoron. No obstante, esta propuesta plantea una serie de dudas a la hora de leer el texto, ya que modifica el estatuto oficial del mismo y su horizonte de lectura; en última instancia, altera el pacto entre el autor y el lector. Por otro lado, este comentario analiza los términos de la discusión que plantea F. S. P. entre Antropología y Literatura. Para ello, remite su discurso a las condiciones de producción en donde se despliega. Así, las claves de las nociones de antropología, literatura, ficción o escritor que manejan los protagonistas de este “articuento” hay que encontrarlas en la posición que su autor ocupa en los campos literario y antropológico. A partir de esta lectura sociológica del discurso textual, se pueden extraer jugosas consecuencias sobre los términos de la discusión entre Antropología y Literatura.
