Descripción :	Frankfurt School and Critical Theory, are today usually undistinguished and conventionally used as synonimus. However, recent historical and sociological research have showed up the mythical building inside that approach. The trend of this essay is to show the historical building of such a myth, through a «sociogenesis» of the main categories were Critical Theory is founded, specially the category of «critique». Begining with this socio-historical review, I try to found the assessment about a parochial character of this school of philosophical and social thought ( The Frankfurt School) and the negative consequences has been derived over its own self-understanding, causing a dismiss from its particular constitutive context and a dissociation between philosophy and socio-empirical research. Facing up this problem, I suggest the need to «open» the category of «crique» of-in Critical Theory Escuela de Frankfurt y Teoría Crítica pasan hoy, de modo convencional, como sinónimos. Sin embargo, recientes investigaciones históricas y sociológicas se han encargado de mostrar la construcción mítica que media en esta identificación. El objetivo de este ensayo es mostrar la construcción histórica de este mito, a través de una sociogénesis de las principales categorías en las que se funda la Teoría Crítica, en especial la de «crítica». A partir de este examen sociohistórico, se pretende fundamentar el carácter parroquial de esta escuela de pensamiento filosófico-social y los efectos negativos que ha tenido para su propia autocomprensión, llevándola a una separación de su contexto particular de formación y a una disociación entre filosofíae investigación empírico-social. Frente a esto se propone la necesidad de «abrir» la crítica de-en la Teoría Crítica.
