The excess water would turn it into mud, the excess clay would make its malleability impossible, hence the importance of the vital liquid to give birth to the dreams of those who with the sweet caress of their hands create the magic of turning into useful objects or objects. I ornament the result of the clash between hands and clay.Heirs of a space, an oven and knowledge about the earth, water and fire, hard work and community, are our dear craftsmen of Metepec. Specialists for generations, for more than a century they have shaped not only decorative objects or handmade pieces, but also casseroles. This is how the day goes, from morning to night, with the earth in their hands.The clay has a memory, and if I forget here my testimony to remember origins and destinations where we have to go ... El barro es una sustancia que se consigue a partir de la combinación adecuada de agua y arcilla. El agua en exceso lo convertiría en lodo, la arcilla en exceso imposibilitaría su maleabilidad, de ahí la importancia del líquido vital para dar a luz los sueños de aquellos que con la dulce caricia de sus manos crean la magia de convertir en objetos útiles o de ornato el resultado del escarceo entre manos y barro. Herederos de un espacio, un horno y conocimientos sobre la tierra, el agua y el fuego, de trabajo rudo y comunitario, son nuestros queridos artesanos de Metepec. Especialistas por generaciones, por más de un siglo han dado forma no sólo a objetos decorativos o piezas artesanales, sino además a cazuelas. Así pasan el día, desde la mañana a la noche, con la tierra en las manos. El barro tiene memoria, y si llegara a olvidar aquí mi testimonio para recordar orígenes y destinos a dónde hemos de llegar…
