Descripción :	This article explores the interpretations that emerged after the April 2007 strike in which Neuquén teacher Carlos Fuentealba is assassinated by police. Immediately  the first impressions of what happened begins to be published in articles, brochures and books. We argue that these writings seek to narrate but also mark the beginning of a struggle for the interpretation of the facts that impacts recent Neuquén history, especially in the case of the reading that highlights Neuquén as a territory of an unfolding tradition of social struggles. In this sense, we seek to establish possible axes of those interpretations, supporting as hypothesis that these texts, both those that come from the militant and union field and those of the academic field, would expose struggles within a political protest culture that explains, in the form of the interpretation, its own reflexivity. Este artículo indaga en las interpretaciones surgidas tras la huelga de abril del año 2007, en la que es asesinado por manos policiales el maestro neuquino Carlos Fuentealba. De inmediato comienzan a publicarse las primeras impresiones de lo ocurrido en artículos, folletos y libros. Sostenemos que estos escritos buscan narrarlo pero también marcan el inicio de una lucha por la interpretación de los hechos que impacta en la historia reciente neuquina, en especial para aquella lectura que destaca a Neuquén como un territorio de despliegue de una tradición de luchas sociales. En este sentido, buscamos establecer posibles ejes de aquellas interpretaciones, sosteniendo como hipótesis que estos textos, tanto los que provienen del campo militante y sindical como los del campo académico, expondrían luchas dentro de una cultura política de protesta que explica, bajo la forma de la interpretación, su propia reflexividad.
