Descripción :	This article presents the reflections and considerations from the voice of a novice English teacher, in the context of a remote teaching practice carried out in a public institution, in times of pandemic derived from the Covid 19. The effects of this situation on the educational environment have become a major concern as teachers and students have become involved in this new home school dynamic. Thus, attention must be paid to the effects that both the unexpected shift to online teaching and learning and the quarantine have had on teachers, students, and parents. This article aims to provide a perspective of  a novice English teacher, highlighting the challenges faced by him/her in this pandemic circumstance in Bogotá. To develop it, a qualitative and interpretative look was adopted by the researcher, who used the teacher’s diary as a tool. Finally, the successes and failures of this experience in which the inexperienced teacher made an incursion mediated by technology are presented, highlighting, by way of conclusion, the commitment  required  from  the  family,  the educational community and above all the student, who have developed a crucial role in the advancement of this remote education. Este artículo presenta las reflexiones y consideraciones desde la voz de un docente novato de inglés en el contexto de una práctica docente remota realizada en una institución pública, en tiempos de pandemia, a raíz del Covid 19. Los efectos de esta situación en el ámbito educativo se han convertido en una preocupación importante a medida que los maestros y los estudiantes se han visto involucrados en esta nueva dinámica de la escuela en casa. De este modo, hay que prestar atención a los efectos que tanto el inesperado cambio hacia la enseñanza- aprendizaje en línea, como la cuarentena han tenido en profesores, estudiantes y padres de familia.  Este artículo  tiene  como  finalidad  brindar una perspectiva de un docente novato de inglés, dejando en evidencia sus retos en esta circunstancia de pandemia en Bogotá. Para desarrollarlo se adoptó una mirada cualitativa  e interpretativa por parte del investigador, quien utilizó como instrumento el diario de campo experience in which the inexperienced teacher made an incursion mediated by technology are presented, highlighting, by way of conclusion, the commitment  required  from  the  family,  the educational community and above all the student, who have developed a crucial role in the advancement of this remote education.  Por último,  se  dan  a  conocer  los  aciertos y desaciertos de esta  experiencia  en  la  cual incursionó el  inexperto  mediada  por  la tecnología, resaltándose a manera de conclusión, el compromiso requerido por parte de la familia, la comunidad educativa y ante todo el estudiante, quienes han desarrollado un rol crucial en el avance de esta educación remota.
