Descripción :	Every educational action is indebted to a certain ethic that gives it support and coherence. This work has its anchor in the Levinas ethics of compassion. It is urgent to recover the subject of education and make all educational action fall on him from the context in which he lives. The singular character of the human being is still a pending debt in pedagogical discourse and educational praxis. From the ethic of compassion, education is to "welcome" the other in the singularity of its existence; it is a responsible response to the other in the reality of its context or circumstance; It is the memory of those who have preceded and helped us, from their testimony to live a more human life; it is a denunciation of situations of injustice that oppress individuals and impede a just life; and it is, finally, a traversed activity, from beginning to end, by ethics. Toda acción educativa es deudora de una determinada ética que le da soporte y coherencia. Este trabajo tiene su anclaje en la ética de la compasión de Levinas. Urge recuperar al sujeto de la educación y hacer que sobre él recaiga toda la acción educativa a partir del contexto en el que vive. El carácter singular del ser humano es todavía una deuda pendiente en el discurso pedagógico y en la praxis educativa. Desde la ética de la compasión, la educación es acogida al otro en la singularidad de su existencia; es respuesta responsable al otro en la realidad de su contexto o circunstancia; es memoria de aquellos que nos han precedido y ayudado, desde su testimonio a vivir una vida más humana; es denuncia de las situaciones de injusticia que oprimen a los individuos e impiden una vida justa; y es, finalmente, una actividad atravesada, de principio a fin, por la ética.
