dc.descriptionI visit my dear professor, Pedro Ortega, in his house, on a quiet afternoon in the Murcian autumn. I find him sitting in front of his computer, surrounded by the books that have accompanied him in the last years of his academic life: Levinas, Adorno, Horkheimer, Ortega, Buber, Mounier, Derrida, Steiner. And other authors with whom he maintains a close friendship: Mèlich, Duch, Zamora. Why these books, Pedro, and not others? At my age, Eduardo, I only have time and desire to read those books that force me to ask questions. The others, I find boring.As you can see I have made a selection of those authors who mark a very specific line of thought and who depart from the idealist philosophy that has long configured the thinking and life of Western society, with the results that are in sight .en-US

Me lo encuetro sentado frente a su ordenador, rodeado de los libros que le han acompañado en los últimos años de su vida académica: Levinas, Adorno, Horkheimer, Ortega, Buber, Mounier, Derrida, Steiner. Y otros autores con los que mantiene una estrecha amistad: Mèlich, Duch, Zamora. ¿Por qué estos libros, Pedro, y no otros?. A mi edad, Eduardo, ya sólo tengo tiempo y ganas de leer aquellos libros que me obligan a hacerme preguntas. Los demás, me resultan aburridos.Como puedes ver he hecho una selección de aquellos autores que marcan una línea muy concreta de pensamiento y que se apartan de la filosofía idealista que ha configurado durante mucho tiempo el pensamiento y la vida de la sociedad occidental, con los resultados que están a la vista.es-ES
