Descripción :	This article approaches Dulce Chacón’s novel La voz dormida in the frame of its influence in Spain’s politics of memory. It offers to expand the horizons of the numerous works carried out up to the date relying on Jacques Derrida’s theories and reasonings on the notion of testimony or witnessing, in order to analyze the limits and the strengths of the narrative project of the authoress. Across this research, it will evoke the reasons for which the writer, who comes from a right-winged aristocratic family, felt the need to deliver the testimonies of communist victims of Franco. After questioning the possibility of bearing witness for the other, it will point that Chacón’s perspective may in fact proceed of an ideological coherence with the contemporary political power. Este artículo aborda la novela La voz dormida de Dulce Chacón en el marco del influjo en las políticas de la memoria de España. Propone expandir los horizontes de los numerosos trabajos realizados hasta la fecha apoyándose en las teorías y razonamientos de Jacques Derrida sobre la noción de testimonio, a fin de analizar los límites y las fortalezas del proyecto narrativo de la autora. A través de esta investigación, evocará las razones por las que la escritora, que procede de una familia aristócrata y de derechas, sintió la necesidad de testimoniar por las victimas comunistas de Franco. Después de haberse preguntado si es posible testimoniar por el otro, mostrará que el testimonio propio dejado por Chacón se manifiesta en coherencia ideológica con el poder político contemporáneo.
