dc.descriptionEn este estudio piloto se realiza un análisis de la Teoría de Metas de Logro en el contexto musical de las clases instrumentales de un Conservatorio Superior de Música. La base inicial de esta teoría establece la existencia de dos tipos de orientación opuestos -a la tarea, que comprende una motivación intrínseca; y al ego, basado en una motivación extrínseca-, hacia los que los individuos se pueden inclinar para la consecución de sus objetivos. Este germen dicotómico se ha desarrollado a través de diversas investigaciones en las que se han propuesto modelos más extendidos que presentan diferentes niveles, tanto de aproximación como de evitación, de tales constructos. En otras investigaciones como las de Lacaille, Whipple y Koestner (2005), se ha combinado la matriz tricotómica propuesta por Elliot y Church (1997), formada por orientación a la tarea y los dos niveles de orientación al ego, con una categoría que los autores denominan intrínseco-estética, tomada de la Teoría de la Auto-determinación de Deci y Ryan (2000). En este trabajo se ha investigado este último modelo mediante el instrumento de recogida de datos creado por Lacaille, Koestner y Gaudreau (2007), con una muestra (N = 22) de estudiantes de Viola y Violín. Entre los resultados obtenidos se destaca que los sujetos se sienten más identificados con el constructo de orientación a la tarea y la categoría intrínseco-estética que con el de orientación al ego en cualquiera de sus dos niveles. También se ha recabado la existencia de respuestas paralelas entre categorías sugiriendo una matriz dicotómica que parece remitir al planteamiento primogénito de esta teoría. Asimismo, se han obtenido diferencias de género en la categoría intrínseco-estética, las cuales plantean que las mujeres son más propensas que los hombres hacia dicha categoría.es-ES
dc.descriptionThis pilot study performs an analysis of the Achievement Goals Theory in the context of instrumental classes at a music conservatory. The initial basis of this theory establishes two opposite types of orientation—task orientation made up of intrinsic motivation and ego orientation based on extrinsic motivation—that individuals could favor in order to achieve their objectives. From this bifurcated foundation, diverse research has developed a more extended proposed model than those offered by different levels, those of approach as well as of avoidance, of such opposing constructs. Other investigations, such as those by Lacaille, Whipple, and Koestner (2005), have combined the tripartite matrix proposed by Elliot and Church (1997), consisting of task orientation and two levels of ego orientation along with a category, derived from Deci and Ryan’s Theory of Auto-Determination (2000), denominated intrinsicaesthetic by the authors. This paper researches the latter model through the employment of the date collection instrument created by Lacaille, Whipple, and Koestner (2007), with a sample (N=22) of viola and violin students. The results demonstrate that subjects feel more identification with constructed the task orientation and intrinsic-aesthetic categories than they do with the ego orientation in either of its two levels. This study also seeks out the existence of parallel responses between categories, suggesting a dichotomous matrix that appears to refer to the earliest explication of this theory. Along with this, this study has encountered gender differences that suggest how women demonstrate a greater capability than men with the intrinsic-aesthetic category.en-US
