dc.descriptionUno de los principios básicos de Orff-Schulwerk es que el material musical a utilizar con los niños en el nivel de iniciación para despertar sus respuestas musicales debería ser extraído de la verdadera herencia folclórica de la cultura nativa del niño. Cuando las características melódicas, rítmicas y formales se han convertido en familiares y confortables y cuando estos elementos han sido interiorizados lo suficiente como para que el niño los exprese en nuevas combinaciones -el proceso llamado improvisación- el material más complejo procedente de la herencia folclórica nativa debería añadirse, un material más sofisticado tanto en la estructura textual como en la musical y en el contenido, pero todavía identificable con la cultura. De igual manera, se puede añadir al repertorio el material musical procedente de otras tradiciones. En la mayoría de casos, esto ha implicado ejemplos de otras tradiciones primordialmente europeas.es-ES
