El objetivo de este artículo es analizar cómo la movilidad social y la inclusión social son percibidas por un grupo de profesionales de trayectorias modestas, egresados de universidades públicas y cuyas historias personales reflejan niveles de exclusión. Este estudio cualitativo, que se organiza en seis dimensiones de análisis -migración y movilidad territorial, educación, ocupación e ingresos, capital social, vulnerabilidad y expectativas- presenta cuatro hallazgos principales que inevitablemente plantean nuevas hipótesis de trabajo. Los resultados son los siguientes: que la movilidad social y la inclusión social son procesos heterogéneos que la educación sigue siendo un medio de movilidad e inclusión, que la movilidad social coexiste con la desigualdad y que la movilidad y la inclusión social requieren medios más amplios de conceptualización debido a la dificultad de entender este proceso en personas con características particulares y de orígenes particulares.
